Geographic CV: A Career in Microbiology
A standalone Leaflet portfolio item that presents a microbiology career as a chronological CV paired with a clean light-gray map, focused markers, and readable first-person popups.
Project context
This page demonstrates a resume format where geography is not decoration. Each career stage is available in the chronological timeline, and the map gives the reader a second way to understand movement across countries, institutions, and research roles.
Challenge
A conventional CV can be dense and linear. The goal was to preserve the full chronological structure while adding spatial context without making the map the only way to read the career history.
Approach
The standalone page uses Leaflet, a light gray basemap, custom markers, brief timeline summaries, and larger readable popups. The timeline and popup copy are intentionally different: the timeline stays concise, while popups provide more narrative detail.
